There are several issues, some including:

1. Media. Upon arrival. You have emailed the email directly I assume, and now the police can do anything they like to you, at the airport, and blame you that the media was there.
So they can create the public and media image of you, the sick man of Asia doing the great indignity of the perp walk.

2 Media. After arrival. Do you have a media plan, beyond the silly advice you have now? The media are really making you look terrible in Toronto and Canada.

3 Media. Images of you in Handcuffs. As you may know, Mr Tang, it is standard practice that if you are surrendering to police outside of a police station, the police shall handcuff to transport you to the police station to book you, etc. Did you get advice that you arrange to surrender at the police station directly?

4 Written confirmation of your return processing? Since you have warrant, CIC may hold you, and take action separate from MTP. Do you have assurances in writing from MTP and CIC of your dignified, peaceful surrender?

5 police and courts have for you, upon your return? Arrest would mean bail, etc. You should try explore and negotiate these matters now before your return, so you can be ready to make it as smooth and dignified as possible.

6 Travel restrictions. The court and police may impose travel restrictions upon you now. Again, supra, from Paragraph #6, get settlement of these matters now before your return next week, so you are not surprised, thinking you can visit China for unsettled business soon.

7 Dignity and respect. You have enough stress, I know. Sorry to hear your situation. Hopefully, you have helped yourself and your family with this trip. But pls remember also, as a Chinese community leader, you carry the opportunity and duty of the dignity and respect of the Chinese peoples of Toronto, Canada, China and the world.
